Little Nutbrown Hare, who was going to bed, held ontight to Big Nutbrown Hare's very long ears.
小兔子要上床睡覺(jué)了;它緊緊抓著大兔子的長(zhǎng)耳朵，
He wanted to be sure that Big Nutbrown Hare waslistening."Guess how much I love you," he said.
要大兔子好好地聽(tīng)它說(shuō)。“猜一猜，我有多愛(ài)你?”小兔子問(wèn)。
"Oh, I don't think I could guess that," said Big Nutbrown Hare.
“噢!我大概猜不出來(lái)。”大兔子笑笑地說(shuō)。
"This much," said Little Nutbrown Hare, stretching out his arms as wide as they could go.
“我愛(ài)你這么多!”小兔子把手臂張開(kāi)，開(kāi)得不能再開(kāi)。
Big Nutbrown Hare had even longer arms. "But I love you this much," he said.
大兔子有雙更長(zhǎng)的手臂，它張開(kāi)來(lái)一比，說(shuō)：“可是，我愛(ài)你這么多。”
Hmm,that is a lot, thought Littele Nutbrown Hare.
小兔子動(dòng)動(dòng)右耳，想：嗯，這真的很多。
"I love you as high as I can reach," said Little Nutbrown Hare.
“我愛(ài)你，像我舉的這么高，高得不能再高!”小兔子說(shuō)，雙臂用力往上撐舉。
"I love you as high as I can reach," said Big Nutbrown Hare.
“我愛(ài)你，像我舉的這么高，高得不能再高。”大兔子也說(shuō)。
That is very high, thought Little Nutbrown Hare. I wish I had arms like that.
這真的很高，小兔子想：希望我的手臂可以像大兔子一樣。
Then Little Nutbrown Hare had a good idea. He tumbled upside down and reached up the treetrunk with his feet."I love you all the way up to my toes!" he said.
小兔子又有個(gè)好主意，它把腳頂在樹(shù)干上倒立了起來(lái)。他說(shuō)：“我愛(ài)你到我的腳趾頭這么多!”
"And I love you all the way up to your toes," said Big Nutbrown Hare, swinging him up over hishead.
大兔子一把抓起小兔子的手，將它拋起來(lái)，飛得比它的頭還高，說(shuō)：“我愛(ài)你到你的腳趾頭這么多。”
"I love you as high as I can hop!" laughed Little Nutbrown Hare, bouncing up and down.
小兔子笑了起來(lái)，說(shuō)：“我愛(ài)你像我跳得那么高，高得不能再高!”它跳過(guò)來(lái)又跳過(guò)去。
"But I love you as high as I can hop," smiled Big Nutbrown Hare-and he hopped so high that hisears touched the branches above.
大兔子笑著說(shuō)：“可是，我愛(ài)你，像我跳得這么高，高得不能再高。”他往上一跳，耳朵都碰到樹(shù)枝了。
That's good hopping, thought Little Nutbrown Hare.I wish I could hop like that.
跳得真高哇!——小兔子想——真希望我也可以跳得像它一樣高。
"I love you all the way down the lane as far as the river," cried Little Nutbrown Hare.
小兔子大叫：“我愛(ài)你，一直到過(guò)了小路，在遠(yuǎn)遠(yuǎn)的河那邊!”
"I love you across the river and over the hills," said Big Nutbrown Hare.
大兔子說(shuō)：“我愛(ài)你，一直到過(guò)了小河，越過(guò)山的那一邊。”
That's very far, thought Little Nutbrown Hare. He was almost too sleepy to think anymore.
小兔子想，那真的好遠(yuǎn)。它揉揉紅紅的兩眼，開(kāi)始困了，想不出來(lái)了;
Then he looked beyond the thornbushes, out into the big dark night. Nothing could be fartherthan the sky.
它抬頭看著樹(shù)叢后面那一大片的黑夜，覺(jué)得再也沒(méi)有任何東西比天空更遠(yuǎn)的了。
"I love you right up to the moon," he said, and closed his eyes.
大兔子輕輕抱起頻頻打著呵欠的小兔子，小兔子閉上了眼睛，在進(jìn)入夢(mèng)鄉(xiāng)前，喃喃說(shuō)：“我愛(ài)你，從這里一直到月亮……”
"Oh, that's far," said Big Nutbrown Hare. "That is very, very far."
“噢!那么遠(yuǎn)，”老兔子說(shuō)。“真的非常遠(yuǎn)、非常遠(yuǎn)。”
Big Nutbrown Hare settled Little Nutbrown Hare into his bed of leaves. He leaned over andkissed him good night.
大兔子輕輕將小兔子放到樹(shù)葉鋪成的床上，低下頭來(lái)，親親它，祝它晚安。
Then he lay down close by and whispered with a smile, "I love you right up to the moon-andback."
然后，大兔子躺在小兔子的旁邊，小聲地微笑著說(shuō)：“我愛(ài)你，從這里一直到月亮，然后……再繞回來(lái)。”
